Seasons Greetings
I hope everyone has a very relaxing and enjoyable festive
season. There is a special dinner planned here for Saturday
evening. And it looks like AMANDA won't have to work that day.
I will send as another email an encoded card. If your mail program
doesn't decode it automatically, then use uudecode.
There are two markers at the South Pole. The actual position of the
SPG, which gets moved each year as the ice flows over this
point. There is also a ceremonial pole, surrounded by flags, which
doesn't move (it does, but not relative to the station).
The tree is Cheryl's, one of the wintering Chefs. She also took the
photos of me.
