DESCRIPTION: Glaciologists and Geologists Hollin, Cronk, and Robertson work on a sled. They, plus Ommundsen, a mechanic, went on a 200 mile geological traverse south of Wilkes Station in September 1958. Wilkes Station was one of seven U.S. research stations built for the International Geophysical Year (IGY), 1957-1958.
