This voyage conducted the relief of Wilkes.  Helicopters were used in
unloading and transporting stores, and for triangulation runs for survey in
the Haupt Nunataks area, for a gravity survey at Vanderford Glacier and
forestablishing a field station for gravity research.  The site of the
proposed new station at Wilkes was also examined.
